Please join us for a Disability Awareness workshop for workforce practitioners on Tuesday, July 15 from 11 am – 12 pm at the Coalition located at 727 15th Street, NW (8th floor conference room). This workshop is hosted by the DC Job Developers Network, and will be led by Sylvia Bailey-Charles, Business Relations Specialist, DC Department on Disability Services, Rehabilitation Services Administration. Lunch will be provided.

Examine stereotypes associated with common disabilities
Explore biases toward specific disabilities
Help you better understand attitudes about people with disabilities and the effect they can have on our relationships with each other
Become aware of how our perceptions impact hiring and supervisory decisions
