June is National Homeownership Month, a time to encourage and promote homeownership, remind everyone of the importance of homeownership as one of the primary ways that District residents build wealth, and highlight how homeownership strengthens communities.

The DC Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) is planning a series of workshops to engage our community on topics relevant to homeownership and financial literacy. DHCD encourages you to attend the National Homeownership Month event.

Workshops: DHCD has the following workshops – the Homeownership Journey, Heirs Property, Inclusionary Zoning, Single-Family Residential Rehabilitation Program (SFRRP), Taxes, and Tenant Opportunity to Purchase Assistance (TOPA). You can find our more information and register below:
