On Sunday, May 25th, 2025, members of the Brightwood Family Success Center (BFSC) Community Advisory Council joined local residents for the powerful and heartfelt “Stop the Killing” event, organized by the Crisis Management Unit.

This important gathering was more than just a call for peace—it was a call to action. Featuring special guest and actor, Mike Epps, the event created space for honest dialogue about the urgent need to unite as a community, take care of one another, and reclaim our neighborhoods as safe, nurturing places to live and grow.

BFSC was proud to stand with our neighbors by offering valuable resources to families in attendance. We remain committed to being a resourceful, welcoming, and safe space for those seeking support, opportunity, and connection.

As the event reminded us all:
We come together. We stay together. We support each other.

A heartfelt thank you to our Community Advisory Council members for showing up, speaking out, and standing with our community. Your leadership continues to help shape a better, safer Brightwood for all.
