Our recent Kids, Cops & Karaoke event at Emory Beacon of Light was a powerful reminder of what community looks like when we come together through creativity, partnership, and joy.

The room was filled with light as children, one by one and in groups, took the stage to sing their hearts out. Their courage and enthusiasm were infectious, bringing smiles and even a few tears of joy to proud parents and community members. The power of music and art to connect us was on full display.

Equally inspiring was the presence of the 4th District MPD team, who seamlessly integrated into the festivities—engaging with residents and showing how positive relationships can build stronger, safer communities. This partnership between GAFSC and MPD is proof that collaboration leads to thriving neighborhoods.

We’re deeply grateful to Emory Beacon of Light for providing multiple welcoming spaces to host such a meaningful experience.

We left the event encouraged, proud, and excited for what’s next.
